Band History

    Rewind formed as an entertaining band 6 years ago.  What started out as a group of friends and relatives just wanting to have some fun playing and singing, has matured into a musical endeavor, delighting audiences with 50’s & 60’s Country and Rock-n-Roll.  Rewind also plays Gospel and Bluegrass.

     The band consists of 4 high school friends from the Memphis area, 2 of whom are cousins Steve Downen & David Goss.  The lead guitarist Lawrence Russum, being their uncle.  The bass player Claude Taylor, is a friend and coworker with Rick Adair lead vocalists, and has been in the local country music scene for the past 12 years.  Charlie Kirelawich the drummer, and most recent addition to the band, hails from up north and through a 40 year music career, has had the fortune to play on MTV and has played, by invitation, with an international Procol Harum tribute band in Hollywood, CA..

    Rewind’s favorite music to play is Country and Rock-n-Roll.
